Well you’re completely misinformed. I know lots of atheists, although we’re outnumbered by the religious many times. Many atheists are humanists which means they understand that it’s humans helping other humans that gets things done. Praying does not. In America a prevailing sentiment is to close our borders, strongly supported by the religious. My point was however that there are enough, self proclaimed religious people in America, who could unite for a greater cause. In other words, closing our borders should be considered compassionless and inappropriate to the pain and suffering of this world. Religious people are the majority.
