This!!!! You made so much sense. I’ll have to freely admit that for most of my life I have not been overly preoccupied with life on other planets. I’ve always felt like navigating my existence on this planet has been almost more than I’m capable of doing. And when I factor in that I brought children into the world as well, I feel like my job will never be done until I die. But on those rare occasions when I do think about life elsewhere, I have always hoped that they would be better than us. That’s probably unrealistic as you say. But I still hope for it. it’s interesting to find myself living in an era of unprecedented technological advancement on this planet. Unfortunately, we have not advanced socially. We still solve problems in the most archaic fashion, generally through violence. How sad to think we came so close but were literally incapable of doing it differently.
