The amount of mental and physical anguish children have endured due to unfit parents, tribal customs, and human cruelty would fill thousands of bibles with even more hair raising stories than it already contains. As if that’s not enough, humans love to engage in bloody wars, killing children and babies. Of course, that’s still not all. Starving populations of refugees include many children and babies. And then, of course, there is mother nature who kills babies off right and left. When all is said and done, that’s a pretty grim picture and probably a good reason to not have babies rather than to produce more babies. I know. I know. Humans are just animals and it’s natural to have sex because that’s the way were wired by mother nature in order to guarantee that our species will not die out. I’ve often said, however, none of us get a choice as to whether we’re going to be born or not. We just open our eyes one day and there we are staring up into the faces of two potentially dangerous human beings, our own parents who we didn’t even get to choose. I bet there’s lots of people who wish from time to time that their own parents had aborted them. Rest assured however that the agenda of our far right in the United States doesn’t stop with abortion. If they have their way, it will include birth control as well. Birth control, more than any other thing I can think of, has given women far more personal freedom.
