Texting has replaced phone calls as near as I can tell. Texting is a quick way to answer a simple question or share a minimal amount of information. Unlike a phone call, however, it lacks voice intonation and easy opportunities for clarification. Phone calls instead of a face-to-face conversation lack facial expressions and gestures. All forms of communication are pretty easy to misinterpret, however. Words may be our best form of communication thus far but they are still left open to interpretation. Just think, world leaders with different cultures, languages, personalities, perspectives religions,, and communication skills are expected solve world problems with words.
