I’ve finally realized that you can’t help those who don’t want to be helped. That can be frustrating because they often vote against their own best interests and sometimes the results affect you and the ones you love. A strong sense of community and like mindedness may be an overlooked and undervalued goal but in the end stands a better chance of producing aid and support than what we realize. If we could extend that toward building a country that truly pulls together, life might be amazing.
