Is It Still a World of Kings and Serfs?

An Old Ladies Deep Thoughts #4

My photo

Recently, I met a man in an assisted living facility who was suffering the consequences of Agent Orange from the Vietnam War. He shared a brief version of his life’s story. He was 18 when he was sent to Vietnam — just a boy, too young to even go into a bar and order a drink.

This got me thinking.

Traditionally, girls were to give birth to sons who as boys would be sent to fight in a rich man’s war.

If there is no war, which is rare for the US, then these boys and girls are needed to slave in the fields and factories to enrich the coffers of a few. Unless, of course, we can find poor people from other countries who will do it for even less money. If those poor people are immigrants, however, they can double as a convenient group to villainize for political purposes when the need arises. Once again, all of this is designed to enrich the coffers of the wealthy. Ultimately, life is brutal for the majority so the rich can live well.

I’m sorry but if that is still the best we can do, fewer babies are a mercy, not a curse.

Bottom line, it’s true when people accuse Republicans of only caring about a fetus while not giving a shit about children post-delivery. In our zeal due to highly successful propaganda, we’ve fallen prey to the notion that America is the greatest country in the world. But that’s so far from the truth as to be nothing more than a fairy tale.

We may currently be the most powerful country in the world, even possibly the richest, but socially we haven’t progressed beyond the days of serfs and lords, kings and noblemen.

If we’re pushing to have more babies, it’s not because we have anything better to offer them than when the king used their bodies to protect and enrich his kingdom. Nothing has changed in that regard. We need their bodies to take care of the rich and powerful.

Let’s face it. We support the king and always have because they have all the money.

The ONLY thing Americans care about is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. We hate the rich but we want to be them because they have all the power. My dime can’t buy a drop of power. I can’t compete against their millions and billions. They have a say over my life and are protected from me as they hide behind the castle walls.

Most will sell their souls to get inside the castle walls.

The thought of sitting at the king’s table makes us giddy. More than longing for equality, we hope to one day be invited into the king’s chambers. Thus unity is difficult for the masses to obtain. We’re competing for crumbs from the king’s table. Without unity, however, we are completely powerless.

The power of the people lies in unification.

That’s all we’ve got. The king and his lords know this. They will do everything within their power to keep us divided, arguing, perseverating over issues of less importance, distracted by fake promises, and weakened by mistrust and competition. So far, their plan has worked.
