I was just reading your articles about the Q cult interviews. Extremely interesting. Having grown up in a religious cult, I’m highly sensitive to this group phenomenon. My dad was the leader of the cult that I was raised in. He started with zero members but eventually persuaded over 100 people to dedicate many years of their lives to his vision. He honestly believed that he had been hand selected by God to be the last prophet of the last day and age because most religions had lost touch with God and had succumbed to the temptations of the world. The willingness of all of his followers to accept almost anything that came out of his mouth, without question, amazed me. An intense relationship with a leader is central to all cults.
