I remind myself that historically many nations have gone fascist and eventually recovered from it. The US is such a young country but it seems we’re reaching the crossroads at last and if we take the wrong turn then we’ll get a chance to join all the countries ahead of us who have already grappled with such matters. It’s sad but humans are hard to help. So often they vote against their own best interests.
