I really enjoyed your story. Thank you. I’ve been wintering in Spain for 17 years and have a similar perspective. I rent the same apartment every year and although it feels like home it’s not quite like my home in the states. There are so many things that make the region where I settled special though as well as a few inconveniences that I’ve long ago accepted.
