I know many people who are appalled by the religious views of the fanatic but defend religion by claiming their brand is the true path to god. I wish they’d realize how leaving the door open by promoting their religious practices keeps the pain and suffering that religion causes alive and well. But they don’t get it. Religion is not a harmless ideology. It always creates a hierarchy of power and from there abuse quickly follows.
