I hate flying and I’ve flown a lot. I hate it. I’m on a road trip right now that’s very loosely planned. It’s off season and I’m going north not south. I’m also avoiding big cities and exploring the unpopulated regions of The Great Lakes. I hate crowds. It’s not the same level of adventure I had with my parents, however, when I was a kid and we drove through Mexico to Guatemala on the Pan American highway when parts of it was nothing more than a gravel road and we crossed streams without bridges. It’s not as rural as the road trip my dad took us on to the Yukon either. Now those were road trip adventures.
