I bought land in the upper peninsula of Michigan several years ago. Climate scientists have suggested that this area may be less affected by climate change than most. It’s surrounded by the Great Lakes where 20% of the entire world’s fresh water is located. My property is near the Canadian border. There is a town with a hospital at the crossing. I bought it for my granddaughter as her future appears more challenging and land above the 45th parallel will become the new prime property. she also has dual citizenship with US and Germany which gives her options that many don’t have.

By the way I just got back from Spain. I’ve been returning for 18 years. i rent the same apartment and usually stay two months. As always, I enjoyed my stay.
