I appreciate your thoughts. However, I’ve probably read more religious material by the time I was 16 years old than you have in your entire life. I grew up in a religious cult. My dad actually believed he was God‘s chosen prophet for the last day and age and that end of the world was soon going to take place. He didn’t think he needed a grave plot because he would be raptured. 60 years later and I’m still here and his children made sure to purchase a plot in our rural cemetery where he’s now buried. I am a humanist. I honestly believe that no god has ever fed a hungry child or started a war or taken care of the elderly. If anything is to be done it’s up to us. We’re all we’ve got and it behooves us to allow our empathy, creativity, and desire to create a better world for the children we insist on having to flourish. Be well and be your best self.
