I'll also be interested in seeing how you rework the message. On the flip side, don't be discouraged if most ignore your pleas. Contrary to popular opinion, many humans don't care about their kids. In fact, a shocking number of kids die at the hands of their own caretakers every year. My parents certainly didn't care about me all that much. Personally, I think one way that green energy, for example, might replace fossil fuels is if we can make them highly profitable. If you'd written to the polluters with an offer like that, appealing to the their bank accounts, you might have received a few more replies.
