A Quick Reaction to Climate Non-action/Writing on My iPhone While on the Road

I’m sitting outside an Erewhon having flown for the first time in two years. I see little to no progress toward meeting the challenges of climate change as I read the following article while nibbling on a pastry.

Global CO2 Emissions Rebounded to Their Highest Level in History in 2021Dining

I shrug my shoulders at the title, because I no longer expect any true progress.

In fact, if no significant plan is put into action soon, then I’ve decided that I’ll go down with the ship partying.

The fact is there is nothing I can do that will make a difference. Nothing.

Trust me I’ve read tons of research out of regional universities and the only thing that will slow things down is a serious, worldwide effort to combat climate change.

I’d settle for my own country leading the way and throw myself behind a plan but so far “we got nothing.”

And, yes, I’d make personal sacrifices if the US steps up and mandates a plan of action even though we’ll no longer be able to turn back the clock.

The pandemic, however, made it quite clear that modern humans can’t cooperate. So I’m focusing on plan B for my children and granddaughter. It’s evolving well, thankfully.

Read about my Plan B … 😁

Until then, I refuse to be the last virgin standing.

I laugh when I say that. Most people wouldn’t get it. I was raised in a religious cult that insisted on virginity until marriage. Later I found out that I was the only virgin. Yeah all the elders had engaged in premarital sex. That’s when I decided that I’d never fall for any kind of social pressure again. Talk is CHEAP! Especially talk that comes from those who refuse to do what they demand that I do.

The wealthy and the powerful know how to party. They hold damn orgies.

So my message to The American government is — if you need virgins, I can do that for you — I can sacrifice flying and eating meat. I can make less trash and driving even less. I can convert to electric, batteries, wind or whatever. I can buy less. I can live frugally and not bat an eye.

But until you have a plan thst you’re ready to implement, mandate, and model, I’m not impressed.

I’ll ignore your shit and proceed with Plan B, like I’ve been doing since the day I finally gave up my virginity.
