A few things I’ve done…

I bought land in the Upper Peninsula in 2020. It’s a 5 hour drive from my current home to my land. I also live a few hours drive from the Canadian border. I have a garden in my backyard and a neighbor who I swap produce with. I have an eco flow to run my freezer which can be charged by a couple solar panels. I developed a 90 day food plan that is rotated every time I restock my kitchen. I have plenty of backup battery charged devices like light bulbs and fans. I keep several cords of wood on hand. I vacuum seal food and freeze and dry food. All of this is part of my everyday suburban life style. I happen to enjoy being frugal and keeping certain skills active.
